Alex Iafallo logged a lone assist and Jonathan Quick gave up six goals on 20 shots before Jack Campbell recorded 14 saves in relief.
Carolina received a pair of tallies from Dougie Hamilton with Sebastian Aho, Micheal Ferland, Jacob Slavin and Teuvo Teravainen joining the scoring column. Jordan Staal assisted twice and Teravainen added three helpers for Carolina to make the 22 stops of Petr Mrazek a winning effort.
