The Los Angeles Kings are hoping for more offensive punch this season and didn’t find it in a 3-2, overtime loss to visiting San Jose on Friday. Los Angeles received scoring from Anze Kopitar in the first and Tyler Toffoli in the second with Jonathan Quick allowing all three goals on 33 shots.
The Sharks scored twice in the opening period with Timo Meier and Evander Kane lighting the lamp for a 2-0 lead. Kevin LeBlanc won it for the Sharks at 2:54 of OT while Martin Jones recorded 19 saves.

The Kings should be able to keep the Red Wings from lighting up the scoreboard so I’ll back them…
