The Los Angeles Kings host the Montreal Canadiens in Tuesday NHL action.

The Montreal Canadiens were denied a third straight win in a 5-1 loss to visiting Pittsburgh on Saturday. Brendan Gallagher scored in the second off an assist from Philip Danault for the Canadiens and Carey Price took the loss with four goals allowed on 24 shots.

Jake Guentzel paced the Penguins with two goals while Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Jared McCann also reached the scoring column. Guentzel assisted twice and Crosby added three helpers for Pittsburgh who saw 36 stops from Matt Murray.

The Los Angeles Kings knocked off visiting Chicago 6-3 on Saturday to put an end to a ten game losing streak. Brendan Perlini scored twice for Chicago with Connor Murphy adding a marker. Corey Crawford absorbed the loss for the Blackhawks with six goals allowed on 25 shots.

Dustin Brown paced Los Angeles with two goals with Sean Walker, Ilya Kovalchuk, Adrian Kempe and Brendan Leipsic also finding the scoring column. Kovalchuk, Kempe and Leipsic posted assists and Jeff Carter added a pair of helpers for the Kings who saw Jonathan Quick allow three goals on 32 shots to get the win.

Canadiens are 6-0 in their last 6 vs. Pacific and Canadiens are 5-1 in their last 6 games as a road favorite and Canadiens are 5-1 in their last 6 vs. Western Conference.
Kings are 7-21 in their last 28 vs. Eastern Conference and Kings are 1-4 in their last 5 home games and Kings are 1-10 in their last 11 overall.

Canadiens are 1-4 in the last 5 meetings in Los Angeles and Canadiens are 2-6 in the last 8 meetings and over is 3-0-1 in the last 4 meetings in Los Angeles.

The Kings are looking for a rare two game winning streak but difficult to bet. I would do something on the over if I touched this…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
