The Minnesota Wild welcome the Arizona Wild to town for NHL action on Tuesday.

The Arizona Coyotes were playing well several weeks ago but have suddenly dropped eight of ten following a 6-1 loss to visiting Calgary on Sunday. Clayton Keller scored unassisted in the third to avoid the shutout with Antti Raanta getting the loss for the Coyotes with all six goals allowed on 26 shots.

Noah Hanifin and Mark Jankowski led the Flames offensive explosion with two goals apiece with Sean Monahan and TJ Brodie also lighting the lamp. Mark Giordano and Derek Ryan logged two assists each and Mike Smith picked up the win for the Flames with 28 stops.

The Minnesota Wild have followed a two game skid with back to back wins after upending visiting Winnipeg 4-2 on Friday. Patrik Laine and Nikolaj Ehlers scored for the Jets with Connor Hellebuyck absorbing the loss with three goals allowed on 38 shots.

Nino Niederreiter led a four goal Minnesota third period with a pair of tallies with Eric Staal and Zach Parise also finding the back of the net. Matt Dumba logged a pair of helpers for the Wild who received 26 saves from Alex Stalock.

Coyotes are 0-4 in their last 4 overall and Coyotes are 1-5 in their last 6 games playing on 1 days rest and Coyotes are 1-4 in their last 5 when their opponent allows 2 goals or less in their previous game. Over is 4-0-1 in Wild last 5 when their opponent allows 5 goals or more in their previous game and over is 5-1 in Wild last 6 vs. Pacific and Wild are 5-1 in their last 6 vs. Western Conference. Coyotes are 4-11 in the last 15 meetings and Coyotes are 2-5 in the last 7 meetings in Minnesota and under is 5-2-1 in the last 8 meetings in Minnesota.

I’ll back the Wild who are playing better hockey then the slumping Coyotes…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
