The Wild look to stay undefeated on home ice on Saturday night when they welcome the Tampa Bay Lightning to town.

The Lightning look for their second win in as many nights on Saturday as they head into the Xcel Energy Center to take on the Wild who have yet to drop a game on home ice this season in what should be a thriller for those in attendance. Tampa Bay doubled up on the Winnipeg Jets by a 4-2 final last night in front of a loud and proud MTS Centre but they face a different moster here as the Wild defense are among the best in the game and Darcy Kuemper is putting up video game numbers to start the season as his goals against average is a miniscule 0.50. Tampa Bay has the horses to put the puck in the net as Steven Stamkos is one of the most dangerous shooters in the world and if the Lightning want to leave Minnesota with a victory than Stammer and the offense has to play well. Tampa is likely to turn to Evgeni Nabokov in goal as Ben Bishop got the win last night and while Nabby has played well so far I think Bishop is the better of the two options and the Wild catch a break here.

Minnesota is quickly emerging as one of the team's to beat in the West and while they have dropped two of their last three games I think they are a legitimate threat to win the Stanley Cup. Minnesota prides itself on being a tough defensive team but they do have some guys who can score as well and bringing in Thomas Vanek as a compliment offensively was a huge move for the team and I think makes them a dark horse in the West. The Wild are also establishing themselves as untouchable on home ice and while they have only played two games in Minnesota so far their impressive home record dates back to last season and it is one of the toughest buildings in the NHL to get a victory. I am a little disappointed in the line here as I thought we would get the Wild at a better price but nonetheless I think they are the play here in one of my stronger plays of the day.
