The Wild look for another impressive home ice victory as they welcome the Vancouver Canucks to town on Wednesday night.
The Canucks head into Minnesota on Wednesday looking to continue their impressive play away from home this season but they will need to be sharp in this one as Minny is lethal at home and proved that once again with a statement win against the Nashville Predators. Vancouver heads into Wednesday's game sitting in third place in the Pacific division but they are just 2-6-2 in their last 10 overall and haven't looked the part of a playoff team in a couple of weeks. Vancouver is rebuilding and has some very young pieces that are carrying the load but they are a better team than their current mark indicates and they need to get out of this tailspin in a hurry. Ryan Miller is expected to start as he will go up against Devan Dubnyk.
The Wild are looking like a legit Cup contender this season and for the number of years they have been knocking on the door it'll be great to see them and their fans go on a deep playoff run. Minnesota has the offensive fire power to keep up with the league's best and has a great blue line and goaltending battery that makes them one of the best teams overall and through 19 games they are 11-5-3. Minnesota is an impressive 8-1 at home while the Canucks are 5-4-3 on the road but have been very competitive in all of those losses outside of British Columbia. Overall, I think we see a very tight game that will be low scoring and as such the under is a very solid play here.
