The Senators look to play their way back into the series with the Canadiens as they switch the scenery to Ottawa for the next two.
The Montreal Canadiens were the odds-on favourites to win this series and through two emotionally charged games they escaped the Bell Centre with a 2-0 series lead and can now push the Sens to the brink of elimination with another win in this one. However, Montreal could very easily be down 2-0 in this series as Ottawa had ample opportunities to win both contests and a bounce in their favour would have turned this series on its head and as such the Habs find themselves as underdogs tonight. Montreal is the worst offensive group among playoff qualifiers and while they put up four in their first game and three in the second I think the Sens will find a way to keep the offense contained and take their swings at Carey Price.
Ottawa has been playing playoff hockey for the last two months just trying to get in to hockey's second season and while many were concerned that they would be physically and mentally drained by the time their series with the Canadiens began it has been quite the opposite. Now, the Sens return home in front of what should be a raucous Senators crowd that will do its best to drown out the traveling support of Montreal and if Ottawa can get on the board early and keep the crowd involved they could be in a great position to take this game and jump back into the series. While I do think Montreal has enough to get the series victory I don't see it being a sweep and as such I think the Sens get it done here and head into a pivotal game four within striking distance.
