The Lightning hope the third's time a charm as they return home looking to put an end to their series with the Canadiens who have stormed back to take two in a row and can force a game seven with a win tonight.
The Canadiens look for their third win in a row and can force a game seven back in Montreal with a victory here and with the way Carey Price has been over the last few games it certainly gives them confidence in any setting and he could very well lead to a monumental come back. Montreal has finally shed the monkey from their backs against the Lightning who won the first eight games against them this season and now they have taken two in a row and won't have to face off against Ryan Callahan in this one who is out after an emergency appendectomy and while the former Rangers forward has been struggling in these playoffs he is still an integral part of the team's success. The Habs will look to get on the board early and coast in front of Price who makes extraordinary saves look routine.
The Lightning meanwhile have their third opportunity to knock off the Habs and advance to the Eastern Conference finals against either the Capitals or Rangers and they must get it done in this spot as a game seven back in Montreal would be a nightmare scenario. Tampa has gond dry offensively of late and as such the Habs have been winning hockey games but Price has been susceptible to melt downs against the Bolts and with this being a desperation spot for them I think they will come out firing on all cylinders and that could be bad news for a lackluster Montreal blue line. I have no idea why the Lightning are the dogs in this spot as it should be a pick em at the absolute worst but I will gladly take the better team at home at this price.
