The Lightning look to take a commanding 3-0 series lead as the scene shifts to Florida for the next two.
The Montreal Canadiens are in tough at the moment as their series and season hangs in the balance on Wednesday night as they look to avoid falling in to an 0-3 hole and be forced to complete a huge come back to advance to the next round. The Habs got up 3-0 on the Ottawa Senators in the opening round and swept away the Lightning in the opening round of last year's playoffs but this is unfamiliar territory for them as they take to the road in a huge hole after losing both games at the Bell Centre with the latter of the two being an absolute demolition. The Habs have relied on Carey Price to carry them all season but he has been a shadow of his usual self when playing Tampa and is 0-7 against them this season including the first two games of this series. If the Canadiens can't find a way to slow down the high flying Tampa attack they could very well be out in four games and it would be a perfect redemption spot for the Bolts.
The Lightning return home where they have been deadly all season long and have a great shot at putting the Habs on the ropes with their third win in a row. The Bolts are the one team to have sustained success against Carey Price this season and while the Habs goaltender certainly can bounce back the mind set around the team seems to be very negative and they might be out of luck this season. Tampa is incredibly deep offensively but it has been their play at the back and between the pipes that has been the difference in this series and much like we saw from the LA Kings last year after surviving a seven game set they are on a roll right now and might not be stopped. The Bolts are the favorites in this team and rightfully so as I think Montreal is in big trouble here and while they may not get swept I think Tampa gets the victory in this one.
