The Calgary Flames take on the Montreal Canadiens on Monday at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. The Flames are on a five-game winning streak, defeating the Edmonton Oilers in their last game. The Flames have been terrific under pressure, as every single game in their winning streak came down to a one-goal game.

The Flames are 25-17-5 on the season and are now first Pacific Division, with 55 points so far, jumping from fifth place to the top spot in their win streak. The Flames have spread around their offense, having left wing Matthew Tkachuk lead the team in points, Elias Lindholm leads the team in goals, and Johnny Gaudreau leads the team in assists. Tkachuk made the All-Star Game selection as well as defenseman Mark Giordano.

The Canadiens are coming off of a win over the Ottawa Senators, snapping a four-game losing streak. Montreal lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Florida Panthers, the Carolina Hurricanes, and the Tampa Bay Lightning again in their during this losing streak, and are hoping to have bounced back with their win over the Senators.

The Canadiens are 19-20-6 on the season, and sixth in the Atlantic Division, falling from the third place just a few games ago. Montreal can score well, scoring the 15th most goals per game but need to tighten up their defense as they allow the seventh-most goals per game. Tomas Tatar leads the Canadiens in points, assists, and goals so far this season.

Calgary is 17-30 ATS this season
Flames are 4-0 in their last four games playing on one day's rest.
Montreal is 22-24 ATS this season
Canadiens are 1-5 in their last six games playing on one day's rest.

Despite the Montreal Canadiens' recent win, they have played some of their worst hockey recently. Hopefully, the Montreal Canadiens have bounced back with their win over Ottawa, but I'm not so sure about that. While on the other hand, the Calgary Flames in one of the hottest teams in all of the NHL, and although they have been lucky to have skated by with one-goal victories, it shows how well they do under pressure. I think the Calgary Flames once again win close and continue their winning streak. Final Score Prediction, Calgary Flames win 5-4.
