Montreal Canadiens vs. Detroit Red Wings
|Date & Time||Thursday October 10, 2019, 7:00 PM (EDT)|
Detroit is one of those teams that has been able to play decent on the year and shocked quite a few teams in how they have been able to play. Even with some of the improvements the Red Wings have made this year they are still looking to make more and that is very impressive for the team and definitely looks like it could carry over quite a bit and provide them even more momentum. The downside is the Red Wings are coming into this game after recently losing to the Anaheim Ducks.
A great player the Red Wings have come to rely on this year has been Anthony Mantha. This year Mantha has already topped the Red Wings scoring list with 5 goals and a total of 7 points. Tyler Bertuzzi is the leader when it comes to getting the puck to the open man with 3 assist.
For the Canadiens the team has looked all over the place on the year. However, one thing that the Canadiens have been able to do is continue to play at a very high level offensively. Granted, the Canadiens defense has to come into the game and bring home a strong point if the team wants to remove some of the offensive pressure for the team.
With the strong offensive showing the Canadiens have been able to really get the puck and scoring spread around. Brendan Gallagher is the leader when it comes to scoring as he has managed to get 1 goal, 2 assist, but has 3 points overall on the year.
Detroit is looking to bounce back after getting beaten by the Ducks. However, the Red Wings are facing one of the highest scoring offense’s they have faced in a long time. With the Red Wings defense it will be tested and unlike the other teams the Canadiens have multiple weapons to face the Red Wings defense with and that makes the difference here. Final Score, Montreal Canadiens win 4-3.
