The Canadiens look to play out of their tail spin and reclaim second spot in the Atlantic as they take on the Devils at the Bell Centre.
The New Jersey Devils look to continue their surprising season as they head into Montreal on Wednesday night looking for their 21st victory of the season and to pull within a single point of the Rangers for the third automatic spot in the playoffs out of the Metro. The Devils have had a goaltender in place since they acquired Corey Schneider from the Vancouver Canucks and while they still need some piece to put in front of him they have a decent group right now and with the division being pretty top heavy and the rest kind of log jammed they are in a good spot to grab a playoff spot this season.
The Canadiens meanwhile started off as the top dog in the Eastern Conference but they have fallen quite a ways over the last few weeks as they have lost their grip atop the Atlantic and will be in a tough battle until Carey Price returns to action, which at the moment is still a ways off. Montreal had a great effort in the Winter Classic as they pasted the Bruins at Gillette Stadium but in their first game back indoors last night they lost to the Philadelphia Flyers and looked rather pedestrian across the board. With this one being played in Montreal and the Habs in a back to back plus Schneider getting the call I think this one stays under the total without question
