The Canadiens look to complete the home and home sweep with the Islanders as the teams meet up in Montreal on Sunday.
The Islanders look to salvage a split with the Canadiens in the back end of a home and home set after Montreal took the first game on Friday night in Brooklyn but New York knows that the Bell Centre is never an easy place to get a victory. New York was expected to be in the mix for the Metro division title but through the quarter mark of the regular season they sit in fourth place and are nine points back of the Rangers for the division's top honour. New York does have the roster to be competitive but it is rumored they may be losing one of their top defenders in Travis Hamonic who has requested a trade to a Western Canada team to be close to family. The Isles are 4-3-1 on the road this season while the Canadiens are 8-2-1 at home.
Montreal got back in the win column on Friday night in what marked the long awaited return of goaltender Carey Price to the fold who had been sidelined for weeks with an injury. Price picked up right where he left off as he earned the victory against the Isles and will look to complete the sweep here on Sunday in what should be a tightly contested affair. The Habs are the better of the two teams and with Price back it makes them that much more dangerous and at the moment I don't think New York is worth taking a shot with as I don't see them gaining any points tonight.
