The Montreal Canadiens have enjoyed a bit of an uptick with wins in four of five after downing Carolina 6-4 on Thursday. Andrei Svechnikov scored twice for Carolina with Sebastian Aho and Jacob Slavin also supplying markers. Brett Pesce logged a pair of helpers for the Hurricanes who saw Petr Mrazek allow five goals on 39 shots.

Jeff Petry paced the Canadiens offensive explosion with a pair of goals with Matthew Peca, Brandon Gallagher, Artturi Lehkonen and Andrew Shaw also finding the scoring column. Phillip Danault and Kenny Agostino gave the Habs two assists each with Carey Price giving up four goals on 31 shots to get the win.

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
