The Montreal Canadiens host the Toronto Maple Leafs in the finale’ of the NHL season.

The Toronto Maple Leafs enter the last game of the season with losses in four of five after a 3-1 loss against visiting Tampa Bay on Thursday. Mitch Marner gave Toronto a 1-0 lead in the first off of an assist from Zach Hyman. Frederik Andersen absorbed the loss for the Maple Leafs with two goals allowed on 28 shots.

Steven Stamkos scored in the second for Tampa Bay with Alex Killorn and Nikita Kucherov lighting the lamp in the third. Ryan McDonaugh posted a pair of assists for the Lightning who received 29 saves from Andrei Vasilevskiy.

The Montreal Canadiens saw their playoff drive take a wrong turn in a 2-1 defeat at Washington on Thursday. Shea Weber scored the lone Montreal goal on the power play with 28 seconds left in the first. Joel Armia and Phillip Daneault assisted for the Canadiens and Carey Price gave up both goals on 29 shots.

Over is 8-3 in Toronto last 11 vs. Atlantic.

Montreal are 2-7 in their last 9 Saturday games and under is 9-3 in Montreal last 12 overall and under is 6-2-1 in Montreal last 9 home games.

Toronto are 3-8 in the last 11 meetings in Montreal.

If Columbus loses Friday Montreal must win to make the postseason. The Maple Leafs are going for the season sweep as well but I think the Habs put up a fight regardless…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
