The Canadiens return home after a western Canada road trip as they home some home cooking will get them another check in the win column against the Jets.
The Winnipeg Jets head into Montreal on Sunday looking for their third win in a row and eighth of the young season but going up against a Canadiens side in Montreal they know they have their work cut out for them in what should be an exciting game between two of the league's better teams. The Jets continue to jockey their goaltenders as they look to find one to emerge as the starter but for the time being with both playing well the Jets can't complain and they will need Mike Hutchinson to step up in this one as he will likely match up against Carey Price. The Jets are 4-1 on the road so far this season while the Canadiens are are 4-0 at home.
Montreal got back in the win column after a tough two game stretch against the Canucks and Oilers but a confidence boosting win against the Flames to round out the road trip has the Habs returning home on Sunday looking for yet another victory. The Canadiens have had some good fortune through their first 12 games but also have played extremely well and could perhaps have one more win to their name if not for a collapse against the Oilers in a game they were up 3-0. Montreal at home is always a tough out and with Carey Price starting it makes things even tougher, especially considering how things ended for him in the Edmonton game. The Jets have value but the play here is on the total as this should come in under the number without question.
