The Flames and Predators meet up in Nashville on Sunday as both teams continue their push towards the playoffs.
The Flames head into Nashville on Sunday coming off a tough loss on Friday night against the Minnesota Wild and now sit a point back of the Kings for the final spot in the Pacific division playoff bracket but they can jump right back into that position with a win here. Calgary has been one of the league's biggest surprises this season but it could be all for not if they fail to make the postseason and with their remaining schedule the Flames may be hard pressed to sneak in as it is a daunting one that other teams in the mix don't envy. Calgary will be playing with fresh legs though and catch the Preds in a back to back and should have a great chance at victory despite the game being played in Nashville.
The Predators have clinched a playoff spot and their next goal is to lock down the Central division title though the Blues are still hot in their tails and the race will likely come down to the final game of the season. Nashville has taken the league by storm and while they had a speed bump after the all-star break they have rebounded nicely and have booked their ticket to hockey's second season with thoughts of the Stanley Cup in tow. The Preds have been dynamite at home this season but this game matters more to the Flames who can basically write off any playoff hopes with a loss and I think they at least show up and earn a single at worst. Taking a shot here though with the Flames on the money line.
