The New York Rangers have had a couple of games not go their way lately but they got one back on Thursday night in Dallas. New York has been playing some solid hockey but they haven't been able to finish consistently enough of late to come away with a victory. On Thursday night against the Stars they got an outstanding effort from Henrik Lundqvist and scored timely goals on their way to a win. Lundqvist was sensational all night but he made 23 saves in the first period to keep them in the game. Lundqvist also assisted on Rick Nash's power play goal as his length of the ice pass caught the Stars in a line change. Chris Kreider broke the tie early in the third period and John Moore scored the eventual game winner. Now the Rangers head to Nashville to take on a Predators team that's getting hot right now .After a four game losing streak the Predators have rolled off three consecutive wins by a combined score of 13-4. Keeping their opponents scoring down has always been something that the Predators are good at but they've put the puck in the net quite a bit recently, and that's something that the Predators are going to need to continue to do as long as Pekka Rinne remains out. Rinne is the heart of the hockey club and sometimes it takes a team a period of time to realize that they're going to have to get on without one of their best players. It looks like that mentality has finally clicked in with this group in Nashville but it's not going to make it easy. Nashville has been scoring more lately and Cam Talbot is getting the nod in goal for the Rangers in this one but these two teams typically play low scoring styles and I'd expect to see that type of game in this one.
