NHL action on Tuesday features the Nashville Predators hosting a visit from the Ottawa Senators.
The Ottawa Senators failed to get back to back wins with their offense struggling in a 2-1 overtime loss to visiting Boston on Sunday. Mark Stone scored on the first for Ottawa with Colin White and Ben Harpur assisting. Mike McKenna fell to 1-1-1 for the Senators with both goals allowed on 44 shots.
Brad Marchand scored on the power play in the second period and Torey Krug netted the winner in overtime to secure the two points. Marchand also had an assist and Tuuka Rask picked up the win with 27 saves.
The Nashville Predators have been cruising along in the early stages of 2018-19 but have dropped four of six after a 5-2 loss at Calgary on Saturday. Colton Sissons and Craig Smith found the back of the net for the Predators with Juuse Saros giving up four goals on 24 shots to get the loss.
The Flames received goals off the sticks of Oliver Kylington, Sean Monahan, Garnet Hathaway, Alan Quine and Elias Lindholm. Johnny Gaudreau gave Calgary a pair of helpers with Mike Smith recording 25 stops to get the win.
Over is 4-0 in Senators last 4 Tuesday games and over is 10-1-1 in Senators last 12 vs. Western Conference and over is 6-1 in Senators last 7 when their opponent allows 5 goals or more in their previous game. Under is 4-0 in Predators last 4 vs. Eastern Conference and under is 6-0 in Predators last 6 vs. Atlantic and Predators are 8-0 in their last 8 games following a loss of 3 or more goals. Senators are 0-4 in the last 4 meetings in Nashville and Senators are 1-5 in the last 6 meetings and over is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings.
Nashville probably isn’t a great bet given their recent play so something on the over for me…
