The Jets look to improve their underwhelming road record as they head into Nashville to battle the Predators on Tuesday night.
The Winnipeg Jets haven’t had the start to the season that many had expected as they have gone from being a playoff team a season ago to the basement dwellers in the Central and while their division is ridiculously competitive and they are still very much in the mix for a wild card spot it is easy to call them a disappointment to date. The Jets do have a nice roster though and if they can get some consistent goaltending it would really help matters but until Ondrej Pavelec returns I feel like that won’t happen unless they go out and trade for someone soon before the market gets thin and prices on guys start to go up.
The Predators meanwhile have been up and down this year and sit in the middle of a log jammed Central division and while they are 19-13-7 this season they have done so pretty quietly and have had some very tough spells where they don’t look very good at all. The Preds are just 4-4-2 in their last 10 contests and need a game like this one to get back on track but the Jets have surprised some teams recently and have done so on the road. In the end though, I think the Preds have enough in the tank to get it done at home though this is a game I will likely stay away from.
