The Predators look to stay red hot on home ice as they welcome the Jets to town on Saturday who will look to shake off a three game losing skid.
The Winnipeg Jets have hit a rough patch at the moment as they have dropped three in a row and are slowly falling down the ladder in the Central division standings with an 8-7-2 record. The Jets come into action tonight sitting in fifth and are eight points back of the Dallas Stars for top spot but a win on the road against the Nashville Predators would be a huge step forward and would boost their confidence heading into next week. Ondrej Pavelec will likely get the start here as he will go up against Pekka Rinne in what should be a tight, low scoring affair.
The Predators are 5-1-2 at home this season and remain one of the league's top teams when playing in their own building and with the Jets in town tonight they can jump into second place in the Central with a victory. Nashville's strength resides on their blue line and goaltending as it seemingly always does but they do have some offensive fire power as well and against a Jets team that is pretty deep in the offensive end they'll need to show up tonight. This looks to be one of the better games of the evening and while Nashville is the favourite I like the Jets here to come and score a big victory as they're too good of a team to lose four games in a row.
