The Prudential Center and the New Jersey Devils host the Carolina Hurricanes in a Tuesday NHL tilt.
The Carolina Hurricanes have to end the regular season with a flurry and receive plenty of help to reach the playoffs. Carolina has won three of four after downing Ottawa 5-2 where Bobby Ryan and Thomas Chabot scored for the Senators and Mike Condon gave up four goals on 23 shots.

The New Jersey Devils have won back to back games and five of seven overall where the scoring and defense have both contributed. New Jersey relied on defense to upend the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1 on Saturday.
Ondrej Palat power play goal in the third was the lone Lightning goal while Nico Hischier and Kyle Palmieri found the back of the net for New Jersey for a 2-0 lead heading in to the final 20 minutes. Keith Kinkaid made 29 saves for the Devils and Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 35 shots in defeat.
