The New Jersey Devils welcome the Ottawa Senators to town for a Thursday NHL matchup.

The Ottawa Senators look to bounce back from an 8-7 defeat at Chicago on Monday. Thomas Chabot and Colin White scored two times each for Ottawa with Bobby Ryan, Rudolfs Balcers and Mark Stone lighting the lamp. Anders Nilsson gave up four goals on 12 shots before the Senators replaced him with Craig Anderson who allowed four goals on 30 shots.

Alex Debrincat logged a hat trick for Chicago with Gustav Forsling, Brandon Saad, Dylan Strome, Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews finding the scoring column. Collin Delia allowed three goals on ten shots before Cam Ward came on in relief to stop 24-28 shots.

The New Jersey Devils saw their winning streak end at two games following a 4-3 loss to visiting Pittsburgh on Tuesday.  Jesper Bratt, Marcus Johansson and Miles Wood lit the lamp for New Jersey. Mirco Mueller logged two assists and Keith Kinkaid took the loss with four goals allowed on 27 shots.

Pittsburgh received scoring from Zach Aston-Reese, Nick Bjugstad, Bryan Rust and Chad Ruhwedel. Ten players recorded points for the Penguins and Matt Murray gave up three goals on 37 shots to pick up the win.

Senators are 16-35 in their last 51 vs. Eastern Conference and Senators are 3-8 in their last 11 overall and Senators are 1-8 in their last 9 vs. Metropolitan.

Devils are 2-6 in their last 8 home games and Devils are 1-5 in their last 6 games playing on 1 days rest and Devils are 5-11 in their last 16 vs. Atlantic.

Senators are 6-13 in the last 19 meetings in New Jersey and over is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings and home team is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings.

Goals seem to be common when these teams take the ice and more so when facing each other so something on the over…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
