The Toronto Maple Leafs take the ice at the New Jersey Devils in an NHL matchup on Thursday.
The Toronto maple Leafs have dropped three of four after falling to visiting Nashville on Monday by a 4-0 count. The Maple Leafs struggled to get shots and Michael Hutchinson gave up four goals on 32 shots to get the loss.
The Predators received offense off the sticks of Mattias Ekholm, Pk Subban, Colton Sissons and Kevin Fiala. Ekholm, Sissons and Fiala each had assists and Pekka Rinne picked up the win for Nashville with 18 saves.
New Jersey is looking to avoid a three game skid after dropping a 6-1 decision at Buffalo on Tuesday. New Jersey began the night well with Blake Coleman giving the team a 1-0 lead in the first. Keith Kinkaid gave up five goals on 33 shots to absorb the loss for the Devils.
Buffalo scored five times in the second with Jeff Skinner, CJ Smith, Casey Mittelstadt, Jake McCabe and Lawrence Pilut finding the back of the net. Altogether 14 players recorded points for the Sabres and Carter Hutton picked up the win with 20 saves.
