Sunday NHL action features the New York Islanders hosting the Arizona Coyotes.

The Arizona Coyotes playoff drive continued to flounder with the team suffering a 4thloss in a row following a 2-1 SO loss at New Jersey on Saturday. Oliver Ekman-Larsson gave the Coyotes a 1-0 lead in the first and Conor Garland scored in the shootout. Darcy Kuemper stopped 31 shots for Arizona to salvage a point and drop to 24-18-6.

Drew Stafford scored in the opening period for the Devils while Blake Coleman and Pavel Zacha netted goals in the SO. Mackenzie Blackwood recorded 23 stops to pick up the win for New Jersey to up his record to 7-9.

The New York Islanders followed back to back shutout loss with a 4-2 victory at Philadelphia on Saturday. Robert Hagg lit the lamp in the first for the Flyers and Shayne Gostibehere scored in the third. Carter Hart was charged with all four goals on 40 shots that dropped his record to 15-10-1. 

Josh Bailey lit the lamp twice for the Islanders with Brock Nelson and Nick Leddy also finding the back of the net. Nelson added an assist and Robin Lehner stopped 22 shots to pick up the win.

Coyotes are 45-93 in their last 138 road games and Coyotes are 58-127 in their last 185 vs. a team with a winning record and Coyotes are 8-18 in their last 26 vs. Eastern Conference.
