The Bruins look to shake off their three game slide as they head into Brooklyn to battle the New York Islanders on Sunday.
The Bruins are quickly becoming the San Jose Sharks of the Eastern Conference as they have been incredibly streaky so far this season and while it could just be a dip in their season it could be a sighting of the real Bruins who many predicted would miss the playoffs. The B's fell apart last season and their down fall continued in the off season as Milan Lucic moved on to California and while they still have a ton of pieces in place I think their aging core is a bit of an issue and we could see this group blown up by season's end if they can't turn it around. Tuukka Rask is expected to get the start as he will go up against Jaroslav Halak in this Atlantic division show down.
The Isles have hit a bit of a speed bump as well and with the ongoing health concern of John Tavares remaining top priority the team has lost five of their last 10 games. New York is in a great spot to make some noise in the Eastern Conference this season as they have a ton of fire power and an underrated blue line that has played well in front of Halak so far this season. Both teams have the production to send this game well over the total and in what should be a high scoring affair I think that favours the Bruins who have a touch more depth and I think they snap their losing ways with a big win here.
