The Sharks look to stay undefeated and take down another Eastern Conference contender as they head to Brooklyn to battle the Islanders.
The San Jose Sharks are off to a red hot start as they have won their first four games of the season including last night against the Devils in New Jersey by virtue of a 2-1 shootout. San Jose has given up just two goals through those four games and have put up 14 to currently have a grasp on the league best plus-minus but will have a tall order in front of them as the Isles are coming off an impressive come from behind win over the Nashville Predators and will be focused on ending San Jose's winning streak . Former San Jose goalie Thomas Greiss will get the start as he will go up against Alex Stalock who is responsible for the Sharks parting ways with Greiss thanks to his serviceable play as a backup.
The Isles head into Saturday night as winners of two in a row and have points in all but one game so far this season but perhaps their biggest task to date lies within the San Jose Sharks who have looked like world beaters so far. Luckily for the Islanders though, they get the Sharks in the second half of a back to back and will face Alex Stalock and not Martin Jones who has been sensational in his three starts and is making the Kings look silly for letting him walk. New York has a ton of offensive fire power and I think they get to Stalock in this one and while I was hoping for a better price thanks to San Jose's winning ways I will take the Islanders to get the victory at home here.
