The Lightning can book their ticket to the Stanley Cup final with a win at home on Tuesday while the Rangers look to claw their way back and tie the series at three.
The New York Rangers find themselves in familiar territory as they are once again down 3-2 in a playoff series for the second time in as many rounds and the third over their last two postseasons but if there is any team that can respond and fight back it is New York. The Rangers seem to play their best hockey when their backs are against the wall and in a win or go home spot tonight they absolutely must get their best from their best players and that includes Henrik Lundqvist. The Swedish net minder was solid in game five's loss but the offense dried up and Ben Bishop earned the shutout but the Bolts know full well how lethal Lundqvist is in elimination games and the Rangers should be in good shape with only a goal or two of offense in this one.
The Lightning can earn their first Eastern Conference title since 2004 with a win on home ice on Tuesday and with a game 7 looming back at MSG you can bet the Bolts would love to get it done at home and not have to travel back into enemy territory. The Bolts played a sound defensive game in game five's win and put aside their usual run and gun offense as Ben Bishop earned the shutout and Steven Stamkos shined once again in what is quickly becoming an impressive postseason after a slow start. The Bolts return home and are favoured here and while I like them to win I think we see a very smilar score line as we did in the last game as this one shouldn't even come close to the total.
