Matt Moulson got his Buffalo Sabres career off to a great start but it wasn't enough to get them their third win of the season. Moulson scored twice in his Sabres debut but Lindy Ruff was victorious in his return with the Dallas Stars. Buffalo is now 2-11-1 on the year and Tuesday night's performance wasn't even as close as the 4-3 final indicated. Buffalo trailed 4-1 late in the third before chipping in two goals. They'll get to take on a Rangers club that has struggled to start the year but picked up a big win over the New York Islanders on Tuesday night. Ryan McDonagh's power play goal in the third period knotted the game at 2-2 and Benoit Pouliot delivered the game winner as the Rangers rallied for a 3-2 win. Cam Talbot got the start in goal and continued his solid play since being called up from Hartford to be Henrik Lundqvist's backup. Expect Lundqvist to be back in goal for this one so it's not going to be an easy night for there Sabres here. The line is too much for a club that has been inconsistent at best this season however so the only real play is on the total.
