Friday NHL action pits the Carolina Hurricanes against the New York Rangers.

Justin Faulk, Teuvo Teravainen, Gregg McKegg, Brock McGinn and Nino Niederreiter all lit the lamp for Carolina in regulation. Teravainen netted the winner in overtime and Curtis McElhinney picked up the win for the Canes despite allowing five goals on 39 shots.
The New York Rangers are eyeing consecutive wins after defeating visiting Boston 4-3 in a SO on Wednesday. Boston received second period goals from Danton Heinen, David Pastrnak and Patrice Bergeron. Brad Marchand posted two assists for the Bruins and scored in the SO while Jaroslav Halak allowed three goals on 39 shots.
New York received scoring from Mika Zibanejad, Kevin Hayes and Filip Chytil with Tony DeAngelo and Zibanejad scoring in the SO. Pavel Buchnevich posted a pair of helpers and Aleksandar Georgiev recorded 27 saves for the Rangers.
