The Stars will look to shake off a sloppy game last night in Buffalo as they head into New York to face off against the Rangers.
The Stars took a serious hit last night as they dropped a very winnable game in Buffalo against the lowly Sabres and while there is a ton of hockey left to be played the Stars know they lost a great opportunity to make up some ground in the Central. Dallas has been a disappointment this season as many expected they would challenge for a playoff spot and while they are very much a live they haven't had the swagger as expected and have had a tough season in the defensive end. The Stars face a tough test here against the Blue Shirts at MSG and while Henrik Lundqvist is out still Cam Talbot has filled in nicely and will be amped up here against a good offensive team.
The Rangers have been as hot as they come in the NHL of late and will look to add to their recent success with a home ice win against Dallas. The Rangers still have division title aspirations and while losing Lundqvist is tough they are just four points back and Cam Talbot isn;t your every day backup as he has put up some solid numbers of the last couple of seasons and should be in a good position to do so again today. The Rangers are getting a pretty nice price here and while Dallas has been known to show up in bigger games I think New York's defense will be the difference here and I think at MSG they don't disappoint and earn two points.
