New Jersey has picked things up the last few games and it has coincided with Martin Brodeur finding the fountain of youth. The veteran netminder secured his second consecutive shutout on Sunday night in New Jersey's 5-0 win over the Nashville Predators. In between those two games Corey Schneider lost a shootout to the Toronto Maple Leafs but the Devils are certainly playing better hockey. Brodeur didn't start the Devils' first meeting with the Rangers this season, a 4-0 Devils win at Prudential Center, but he might get the nod in this one in a place he's extremely familiar. If he does he'll be taking on a Rangers club that is hot in their own right, winning six of their last seven games and three in a row after Sunday's 4-3 victory over the Florida Panthers. New York's success is coming from an improved power play and that's something they'll need to keep going if they want to get to where they want to be late in the season. The Rangers played one of their worst games of the season against New Jersey earlier this year, and that's saying something because they've had some real bad ones, so they should be motivated for this one on Tuesday.
