The Philadelphia Flyers look to snap out of their road losing ways as they head into Madison Square Garden to face off against the New York Rangers on Tuesday night.

The Flyers are coming off a huge home win last night against the Winnipeg Jets and they will look to carry that momentum to the road to face off with the Rangers who are resuming action after the all-star break and will look to send their fans home happy. Philadelphia has struggled against divisional opponents of late as they are winless in their last 4 games against the Metro and their road woes have been well documented as they are 1-6 in their last 7 games outside of Philadelphia and with the way the Rangers have been playing of late this could be a tough outing for the Flyers who have battled inconsistency all season long. However, the Flyers have won 5 games in a row against the Rangers despite their struggles in New York and they are worthy of consideration here as a road dog.

The Rangers meanwhile haven’t had a great season but they have turned a corner and it’ll be interesting to see what they decide to do at the trade deadline as they have some very nice pieces that could yield a great return. New York was 4-1 in their previous 5 games heading into the all-star break but MSG hasn’t been nearly as kind to them as it has been in years prior as they are just 3-7 in their last 10 games at home and have had a significant layoff. The Rangers have dominated this series at MSG as they are 20-8 in their last 28 games on home ice against Philly and the home team is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings overall and with the Flyers playing in a back to back it makes sense to see New York as a slight home favorite.

The Flyers are 4-1 in their last 5 overall and are 2-6 in their last 8 against the East while the Rangers are 6-1 in their last 7 games on a Tuesday and have hit the Over in the last 5 home games. With the Flyers playing in a back to back look for the goals to fly here as neither team is particularly strong defensively.
