The Ottawa Senators welcome the Arizona Coyotes to town for a Tuesday NHL tilt.
The Arizona Coyotes have played well over the past few weeks with wins in five of seven after downing Toronto 4-2 on the road Sunday. Travis Dermott and John Tavares found the back of the net for the Maple Leafs while Frederik Andersen allowed three goals on 30 shots to get the loss.
Mario Kempe, Clayton Keller, Vinnie Hinostroza and Lawson Crouse supplied markers for the Coyotes. Derek Stepan posted a pair of helpers for Arizona and Darcy Kuemper recorded 24 saves to pick up the win.
The Ottawa Senators dropped a 3-2 decision at St. Louis on Saturday but have still won four of six. Nick Paul scored in the first and Magnus Paajarvi tallied in the third for the Senators. Craig Andersen gave up all three goals on 38 shots to get the loss for Ottawa and fall to 14-14-3.
St. Louis received scoring from Vladimir Tarasenko, Vince Dunn and Carl Gunnarsson. Ryan O’Reilly added a pair of helpers and Jordan Binningham recorded 28 saves to pick up the win for the Blues.
Under is 4-0-1 in Coyotes last 5 games playing on 1 days rest and under is 6-0-1 in Coyotes last 7 vs. Eastern Conference and Coyotes are 6-1 in their last 7 when their opponent scores 2 goals or less in their previous game. Over is 4-0 in Senators last 4 home games and Senators are 0-6 in their last 6 when their opponent allows 2 goals or less in their previous game and Senators are 1-6 in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. Over is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings in Ottawa and Coyotes are 3-8 in the last 11 meetings in Ottawa and Coyotes are 5-2 in the last 7 meetings.
In these types of games I usually go with the better odds or look elsewhere…
