Sunday NHL action features the Carolina Hurricanes visiting the Ottawa Senators.

The Carolina Hurricanes are eyeing a 4thstraight win after upending visiting Columbus 4-2 on Friday. Columbus received second period goals from Oliver Bjorkstrand and Artemi Panarin with Sergei Bobrovsky getting the loss with three goals allowed on 16 shots before Joonas Korpisalo stopped 14-14 shots in relief.

The balanced Carolina attack saw scoring from Micheal Ferland, Dougie Hamilton, Oliver Bjorkstrand and Sebastian Aho. Aho also had an assist with Curtis McElhinney picking up the win for the Hurricanes with 22 saves.

The Ottawa Senators recent slide reached seven games after a 4-3 loss to visiting Minnesota on Saturday. Matt Duchene, Ryan Dzingel and Mark Stone supplied markers for the Senators and Anders Nilsson gave up four goals on 26 shots to get the loss.

Jared Spurgeon paced Minnesota with a pair of tallies with Jordan Greenway and Zach Parise joining the scoring column. Parise and Charlie Coyle added two assists each and Devan Dubnyk picked up the win for the Wild with 24 saves.
