The Chicago Blackhawks go to Ottawa, Canada, to take on the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday at the Canadien Tire Centre. The Chicago Blackhawks are coming off a win over the Anaheim Ducks, snapping a two-game losing streak after losing to the Nashville Predators and the Calgary Flames the game prior. The Blackhawks have only won two of their last five games.
The Chicago Blackhawks are 20 - 20 - 6 on the season, and are tied for last in the Central Division, but have the opportunity to skyrocket up the division if they can string a few wins together. The Chicago Blackhawks are led by their star Patrick Kane, who once again leads the team in points, goals, and assists. Kane was once again selected to the NHL All-Star Game for what is his ninth appearance in his career.
The Ottawa Senators are coming off of a seven-game losing streak, losing to the Montreal Canadiens in their last game.
The Ottawa Senators have certainly struggled this season, and they are currently 16-22-7 on the season but have been decent at home, with a record of 11-7-3 at their arena. The bright spot for the Ottawa Senators is their leading goal scorer and points getter, Anthony Duclair, who has been terrific this season, scoring 32 points and 21 goals.
Chicago is 26-20 ATS this season
Over is 22-23-1 for the Blackhawks this season
Ottawa is 24-21 ATS this season
Over is 25-20 for the Senators this season
While the Chicago Blackhawks have not had a great season, they are playing much better in the last month. With Patrick Kane having a terrific season yet again, the Blackhawks have a chance to claw their way back into contention for playoff hopes. The Ottawa Senators have fallen flat on their faces, as they are on one of the worst losing streaks of their season, and of all of the NHL. I think that the Senators will have to prove that they've made adjustments before I choose them to win, so I have to go with the Chicago Blackhawks in this game. Final score prediction, Chicago Blackhawks win 4-1.
