The Senators look to get back in the win column after an overtime loss on Saturday as they welcome the Red Wings to town who have lost back to back games.
The Detroit Red Wings take to the road in an Atlantic division show down looking to snap their two game slide and regain some positioning in the standings as they take on the Senators in Ottawa. Detroit has lost both game since Pavel Dastyuk returned but do face off against a Sens team who is a minus two in goal differential and have had a tough time keeping the puck out of their own net this season. The Wings are just three points back of Ottawa in the division race and while it looks like the Canadiens have already locked up the division crown with the way they have been playing it looks like these two teams will be doing battle all year in an effort to lock up one of the three guaranteed spots in the East out of their division.
The Senators will send Craig Anderson to the crease as he will do battle with Jimmy Howard in a game that both teams really need to win as they are both coming off tough losses. Ottawa is the home side and they'll be looking to improve on their 3-3-3 mark at the Canadian Tire Centre this season while the Wings have pretty good on the road at 4-3-1 and are hoping a trip away from the Joe is what will get Datsyuk and the rest of the offense rolling. This is a tough one to call as the teams are pretty evenly matched and this one has overtime written all over it and if that is the case I think there is value in siding with Detroit and that is where we are leaning in this one.
