The Canadiens look to stay unbeaten after a big win in Bosotn last night as they contnue on the road to Ottawa to face a Senators team who has also yet to lose.
The Montreal Canadiens head into Ottawa on Sunday playing their third game in as many tries against division rivals to start the season and will be without Carey Price who will sit in favour of Mike Condon. The Habs have yet to play in their home opener and have road wins against the Leafs and Bruins but Sunday should have a very pro-Canadiens crowd as it usually does at the Canadian Tire Centre and can be treated as a home game type atmosphere. Montreal are expected to compete for a Stanley Cup this season and with Price between the pipes it is certain to see why so it'll be interesting to see how the team does without him for the first time this season.
The Senators are coming off a win on the road against the Toronto Maple Leafs in which they needed a skill competition to do so but in the Battle of Ontario it should come as no surprise as those games always seem to be very tight. Ottawa is looking to repeat their efforts from a season ago and get into the playoffs and perhaps surpass their run from last year that was cut short in the opening round and with some key pieces returning the Sens should have a great shot at sliding into a wild card spot or even challenge the top three spots in the division as beyond Montreal and Tampa the Atlantic is wide open. While I am enticed to bite on the price the Canadiens are getting here I am not entirely sold on Condon right now and while the crowd may not be too pleased I think those in attendance there for the “home” team will get the last laugh.
