The Toronto Maple Leafs look to get back in the win column following a 5-4 SO defeat at Philadelphia on Wednesday. Toronto saw scoring from Connor Brown, Nazem Kadri, Auston Matthews and William Nylander. Brown and Matthews also assisted and Frederik Andersen was charged with four goals on 44 shots.
Travis Konecny, Radko Gudas, Sean Couturier and Ryan Hartman supplied regulation markers for Philadelphia with Couturier scoring the lone shootout goal. Travis Sanheim, Scott Laughton and Corban Knight posted two helpers each for the Flyers and Carter Hart stopped 38-42 shots to get the win.
The Ottawa Senators saw their two game winning streak end in a 5-2 loss at the hands of visiting Florida on Thursday. Colin White and Brady Tkachuk found the back of the net for the Senators. Brian Gibbons assisted on both goals and Anders Nilsson absorbed the loss for Ottawa with three goals given up on 32 shots.
Jonathan Huberdeau topped the Panthers with a pair of markers with Evgenii Dadonov, Troy Brouwer and Dryden Hunt adding markers. Dadonov and Aleksander Barkov gave Florida two helpers each and Roberto Luongo stopped 28 shots to get the win.
