The Winnipeg Jets go on the road to face the Ottawa Senators in a Saturday NHL matchup.
The Winnipeg Jets have followed a three game winning streak with back to back losses after a 5-2 defeat at Montreal on Thursday. The Jets received scoring off the sticks of Mark Scheifele in the first and Brendan Lemieux in the third while Connor Hellebuyck allowed five goals on 53 shots.
Jonathan Drouin paced Montreal with a pair of goals with Shea Weber, Phillip Danault and Jesperi Kotkaniemi adding markers.
Danault logged three helpers with Brenden Gallagher assisiting twice to make the Canadiens and easy winner on the strength of 32 stops by Carey Price.
The Ottawa Senators are looking for back to back wins after a 4-0 victory against visiting Anaheim snapped a five game slide. Anaheim ran in to a hot goalie but John Gibson allowed two goals on 24 shots to get the loss before Chad Johnson stopped 9-10 in relief.
Matt Duchene paced the Ottawa attack with a pair of tallies with Brady Tkachuk and Mark Stone also lighting the lamp.
Cody Ceci and Chris Tierney posted two assists each and Anders Nilsson picked up the win for the Senators with a monster 45 save performance.
Jets are 21-10 in their last 31 overall and Jets are 3-7 in their last 10 games as a road underdog and Jets are 2-5 in their last 7 road games.

My thinking is the juice is too high here but I believe Winnipeg gets the job done…
