The Flyers look to stay red hot and claim their fifth win in a row as they host the Columbus Blue Jackets in Philadelphia on Saturday night.
The Jackets head into Philly on Saturday looking to get back in the win column and trim the gap they face in the Metro division standings which thanks to Philly's four game winning streak has widened to six points. Columbus clearly has been one of the league's biggest disappointments and while there is still time to turn it around I think they are some big time concerns with their roster and things may not be addressed until the trade deadline or into next year. The jackets will go with Sergei Bobrovsky who has thrived since leaving Philadelphia and will be out to prove here his former team made a mistake by letting him go.
The Flyers are playing their best hockey of the season and while they have some ground to cover in the Metro division it is nice to see they are competitive at the moment and hopefully things continue to trend in that direction. Philadelphia sit seven points back of the Isles for the third automatic berth in the Eastern Conference playoffs but they are right in the mix for a wild card spot which may be their best bet as most of the Atlantic division has had a slow start and with Washington and the two New York teams looking like contenders it is tough to imagine the Flyers unseating one of them. As for tonight, I like the revenge angle for Bobrovsky but in the end it is the home team playing the better of the two sides and I think they get a big win at home.
