The Islanders offense came off the sticks of Anthony Beauvillier, Mathew Barzal and Casey Cizikas. Barzal scored the only goal of the SO and added a helper while Thomas Greiss stopping 18 shots to get the win for the NY Islanders.
The Philadelphia Flyers have lost four in a row following a 5-1 defeat at Vancouver on Saturday. Scott Laughton scored unassisted in the opening period with Anthony Stolarz getting the loss with two goals allowed on four shots before Alex Lyon stopped 17-19 shots in relief.
The balanced Vancouver offense saw scoring from Christopher Tanev, Loui Eriksson, Josh Leivo, Brock Boeser and Markus Granlund. Troy Stecher posted a pair of helpers for the Canucks who received 31 saves from Jacob Markstrom.
