The Philadelphia Flyers are looking at losses in three of four following a 3-1 defeat to visiting Washington on Sunday. Jakub Voracek scored an unassisted power play goal in the second while Brian Elliott allowed three goals on 30 shots to get the loss.

Tom Wilson, Travis Boyd and Jakub Vrana found the back of the net for Washington. Eight players recorded points for the Capitals and Braden Holtby picked up the win with 35 saves.

Maple Leafs are 7-3 in their last 10 games playing on 1 days rest and Maple Leafs are 56-27 in their last 83 games as a favorite and Maple Leafs are 1-4 in their last 5 vs. Metropolitan.

Flyers are 2-5 in their last 7 overall and Flyers are 1-4 in their last 5 home games and Flyers are 1-5 in their last 6 vs. Eastern Conference.

Maple Leafs are 2-5 in the last 7 meetings in Philadelphia and under is 3-1-2 in the last 6 meetings in Philadelphia and favorite is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings.

Neither team has been the model of consistency for several weeks so something on the better odds to stay interested in the game…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
