The Blue Jackets look to get back in the win column after getting shut out yesterday as they head into Pittsburgh to battle the Penguins.
Columbus will look to strike lightning twice as they head into Pittsburgh to take on the Penguins and ever since their surprising effort against the Pens in last year's playoffs it seems like the Jackets are in the heads of their division rivals and always seem to play up to their level. Unfortunately for the Jackets though they can't play Pittsburgh every game of the season and heading into tonight's game they in seventh place in the Metro, have lost three in a row and will likely land a respectable draft pick based on a disappointing campaign. Sergei Bobrovsky is back but his return won't create an immediate turn around and this is a case of too little too late for a Jackets side well back of the playoffs.
The Penguins meanwhile are in the mix atop the division and currently sit in third place behind the Islanders and Rangers but with a win they can move to within a single point of the Blue Shirts for second. Pittsburgh has been consistent all season but haven't been as dominant at home as we have grown accustomed to seeing and come playoff time they'll have to put everything together in order to avoid another premature exit that has hampered them over the last few years. The Pens are in a great spot here though as they're at home on a days rest and get a Jackets team who is travelling and coming of a shutout loss. Hammer the Pens.
