The Columbus Blue Jackets take the ice at the Pittsburgh Penguins in Thursday NHL action.

The Columbus Blue Jackets squeezed by New Jersey 2-1 in a SO on the road Tuesday to end a two game skid. Travis Zajac scored in the second for the Devils of assists from Blake Coleman and Andy Greene. Cory Schneider recorded 17 saves to secure a point for the Devils.

Cam Atkinson scored in the first for Columbus with David Savard and Markus Nutivaara providing assists. Cam Atkinson and Artemi Panarin lit the lamp in the SO for the Blue Jackets to make a winner of Sergei Bobrovski and his 29 saves.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have won three of four following a 3-2 overtime victory against visiting Florida on Tuesday. Henrik Borgstrom and Vincent Trocheck tallied for the Panthers while Mike Hoffman posted two helpers. Roberto Luongo was charged with four goals on 37 shots to salvage a point for Florida.

Jake Guentzel and Sydney Crosby scored second period goals for the Penguins with Guentzel netting the overtime winner. Crosby added a pair of assists and Matt Murray picked up the win with a 32 save effort.
