Tuesday NHL action features the Florida Panthers  going on the road to oppose the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Florida Panthers look to get back in the win column after suffering a 4-3 OT loss to visiting Carolina on Saturday for their third straight defeat. Henrik Borgstrom tallied twice for the Panthers with Mark Pysyk also lighting the lamp. Jamie McGinn posted two assists for Florida and Sam Montembeault allowed four goals on 26 shots.

Brock McGinn, Greg McKegg and Brett Pesce scored regulation goals for Carolina. Sebastian Aho scored in overtime for the Hurricanes tom make the 31 saves of Petr Mrazek a winning effort.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are eyeing back to back wins following a 5-1 victory at Montreal on Saturday. Brendan Gallagher scored in the second off an assist from Philip Danault for the Canadiens and Carey Price took the loss with four goals allowed on 24 shots.

Jake Guentzel paced the Penguins with two goals while Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Jared McCann also reached the scoring column. Guentzel assisted twice and Crosby added three helpers for Pittsburgh who saw 36 stops from Matt Murray.
Panthers are 19-40 in their last 59 games as a road underdog and Panthers are 3-8 in their last 11 road games and Panthers are 0-4 in their last 4 overall.

Penguins are 5-2 in their last 7 vs. Eastern Conference and Penguins are 15-6 in their last 21 vs. a team with a losing record and Penguins are 109-47 in their last 156 games as a home favorite.

Panthers are 3-18 in the last 21 meetings in Pittsburgh and Panthers are 9-23 in the last 32 meetings and favorite is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings.

The Penguins at high juice is not high on my list of things I like to do but I’ll throw this out there…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
