The St. Louis Blues visit the Pittsburgh Penguins for a Saturday NHL tilt.

The St. Louis Blues have dropped three in a row after suffering a 2-0 loss at Ottawa on Thursday. The Blues did total 35 shots but ran in to a hot goalies and Jake Allen absorbed the loss with a goal allowed on 20 shots.

Christian Wolanin scored in the second for Ottawa off of assists from Mikkel Boedker and Anthony Duclair. Chris Tierney hit the empty net with 57 seconds left to make a winner of Anders Nilsson and his 35 saves.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have been heating up with wins in six of seven following a 5-0 decision at Buffalo on Thursday. The Sabres offense was held in check with only 26 shots Carter Hutton struggled in the net with five goals allowed on 28 shots.

The Penguins saw Phil Kessel, Brian Dumoulin, Patric Hornqvist, Nick Bjugstad and Jake Guentzel reach the scoring column. Sidney Crosby assisted twice for Pittsburgh and Casey DeSmith picked up the win with 26 saves.

Blues are 7-2 in their last 9 vs. Eastern Conference and Blues are 6-2 in their last 8 games as a road favorite and Blues are 9-3 in their last 12 games playing on 1 days rest.

Penguins are 6-1 in their last 7 overall and Penguins are 5-1 in their last 6 vs. a team with a winning record and Penguins are 4-1 in their last 5 games following a win.

Underdog is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings and under is 5-2-3 in the last 10 meetings in Pittsburgh and Blues are 5-1 in the last 6 meetings in Pittsburgh.

I hate betting Pittsburgh at big prices but with the way St. Louis has gone offensively of late I’d take a poke at the under…

I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
