The Pittsburgh Penguins host the Winnipeg Jets in a Friday NHL matchup.
The Winnipeg Jets are looking for back to back wins after a 4-3 victory at Edmonton on Monday. Edmonton received a pair of markers from Leon Draisaitl with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins also scoring. Connor McDavid assisted twice and Mikko Kosinen took the loss for the Oilers with four goals allowed on 36 shots.
Brendan Lemieux topped the Winnipeg offense with two goals with Brandon Tanev and Blake Wheeler also lighting the lamp.
The red hot Pittsburgh Penguins have won nine of ten after throttling the NY Rangers 7-2 on the road Wednesday. Ryan Strome and Pavel Buchnevich supplied the offense for New York with Henrik Lundqvist allowing six goals on 18 shots before Alexandar Georgiev stopped 6-7 shots in relief.
The balanced offense of Pittsburgh received scoring from Zach Alston-Reese, Jake Guentzel, Kris Letang, Dominik Simon, Evegeni Malkin, Tanner Pearson and Sydney Crosby.
Patric Hornqvist added two helpers and Matt Murray picked up the win for the Penguins with 28 saves.
