The Minnesota Wild take the ice with the San Jose Sharks in a Tuesday NHL tilt.

The Minnesota Wild are one of the hottest teams in the game with wins inn seven of eight after downing St. Louis 5-1 on the road on Saturday. Ryan O’Reilly scored on a first period power play for the Blues with Jake Allen absorbing the loss with five goals allowed on 45 shots.

The balanced Minnesota offense received scoring off the sticks of Eric Staal, Nick Seeler, Matt Dumba and Eris Fehr. Seeler and Jordan Greenway supplied two assists each and Devan Dubnyk recorded 15 saves for the Wild.

The San Jose Sharks avoided a three game skid on the strength of a 4-3 OT victory against visiting Philadelphia on Saturday. Nolan Patrick, Jordan Weal and Jakub Voracek lit the lamp for the Flyers. Oscar Lindblom added two helpers and Calvin Pickard allowed four goals on 35 shots for Philadelphia.

Timo Meier led the Sharks with a first period marker and the OT winner just 13 seconds in to the extra session. Joe Pavelski and Joe Thornton also found the back of the net for San Jose while Kevin Labanc logged two assists to make the 25 stops of Martin Jones a winner.

Under is 5-0 in Wild last 5 after scoring 5 goals or more in their previous game and Wild are 7-1 in their last 8 overall and Wild are 6-1 in their last 7 vs. Western Conference. Over is 5-0 in Sharks last 5 vs. Central and over is 4-0 in Sharks last 4 Tuesday games and over is 11-2 in Sharks last 13 games playing on 2 days rest. Over is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings in San Jose and Wild are 6-0 in the last 6 meetings and Wild are 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in San Jose.

Minnesota has been outstanding and goals have been common when these teams have been taking the ice so the Wild or the over for me pending goalies…

Pick:
Minnesota +122 // will update

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
