The Sharks look to build up another winning streak after a big time victory over the Hurricanes in their last game as they welcome the Predators to town on Wednesda night.
The Nashville Predators are coming off their second loss of the season buyt still managed to secure a point in the process and now sit 6-1-1 on the season and in second place in the Central division with 13 points. The Preds look like a Western Conference contender once again this season and after a premature exit from the playoffs last season they look like they have the pieces to avenge that loss and make a deep run in the West but with so many great teams playing alongside them in the Central they will be hard pressed to separate themselves from the pack. Nashville plays a sound defensive game and have one of the best goalies in the league and they will need it all to click tonight as they take on a Sharks team who can score with the best of them.
The Sharks meanwhile have teetered back and forth to start the year as they stormed out of the gate, fell flat for a week, and have since jumped back up the Pacific division standings with a victory in their last outing making them one of the toughest teams in sports to handicap. San Jose continues to move forward with the same roster they have had for what seems like the better part of a decade and while they have had a ton of success during the regular season they have well documented struggles in the playoffs and could add to that reputation once again this season. The Sharks are good, but to me the Preds are just a pinch better and there are very few times we will see them as a dog. We get that here.
